Ghormeh sabzi. Nice with flat breads, like taftoon and pitta.

It's different from tasting yoghurt in other forms. The slight, salty taste puts some people off it.

Some relatives like other kinds of yogurt, but not that. The salt makes a difference for them.

        Here's a recipe http://mypersiankitchen.com/doogh/

Turks have their own kind, called Ayran http://turkishtravelblog.com/ayran/

Sounds the same, but the mixture might be different. Though Doogh is commonly served with mint, not all of it is. At the shops you can buy it with or without mint.

            Yummy

Looks yummy. Its hard to go wrong when you put caramelized onions in anything.

Onions that are lightly cooked, are great. The important thing is not to burn them.

Creamy sauces are always good, especially with pasta. I had one with a little bit of minced beef and melted cheese, all mixed in pasta.

                    Any ideas about drinks?

Other than pomegranate juice, I really don't have much of a sweet tooth. So I don't really go in for the shakes and stuff. Very occasional that I take a craving for something sweet so I am probably not the best person to ask.

                      Maybe Kasaeed would.

That's a shame, kasaeed. What would you recommend as a drink?

Pomegranate juice is nice but, I don't only want sweet drinks. Teas are good. So is hot milk with mild spices.

Talking of pomegranate juice. It is good to drink on its own or, with water.
